The City, Whitney is this still your show?
- I’m just not caring about her.
- “People think I’m a bitch”
- Olivia should be fired from the human race.
- Kelly is Yoda
After watching last nights episode The City (s02e01), I’ve come to understand what a magical ensemble the earlier season of The Hills was. It’s that very mix that is missing from The City or The Hills. In this season of The Hills, all you have are antagonists and no one is endearing. When Whitney was on The Hills she was the voice of reason but ultimately she was the good angel perched on the shoulder of Lauren.
Now into the second season, Whitney has yet to draw us into her world. She’s more like Audrina. Making bad choices in friends and men. I find myself shaking a fist at the screen constantly. Case in point, random new character Roxy appears and immediately tries to undermine Whitney both at People’s Revolution and at her new flat. She proudly tells Kelly Cutrone (love this woman and her sage advice) that people think she’s a bitch but thinks she’s just a straight shooter. Hmmm, I think she’s just a straight shooting bitch.
Speaking bitches, why is Olivia even on the show? She’s not friends with Whitney nor does she work with her anymore. We see her act like a spoilt brat at her new job at Elle. Her story line as well as Roxy’s takes up a majority of the episode. So just who is the character I’m supposed to care about?

I run a couple of fashion boutiques in Vancouver. Both of which are named Kris + Cris. One’s in Oakridge Centre Mall and the other is on Main and 26th Ave, Vancouver. We mainly do womens shoes but we carry styles for mens and kids too. On the Main St. store we have lifestyle products and of course shoes as well.
