Is The Hills still worth watching?

With Lauren leaving The Hills, it’s girls like Stephanie, Audrina, Lo, and Speidi to carry the show.  There is of course the Kristin Cavallari replacing Lauren.  This is where my problem starts with this new season.  I’m not convinced that I even want to watch the show now that Lauren is gone.  With the addition of Kristin, it’s like having another Spencer but in female form but even more uncouth and self centered. 

Maybe MTV is hoping that doubling down on drama will entice people to watch.  Lauren was the comforting part of the show that I could rely on when shady people behaved nasty.   Audrina doesn’t deserve any sympathy, Lo is afraid of Kristin and I hate to say this but Steph is closest thing to Lauren on the show now.  What has the world come to?!?!?

Races of Racists on America’s Next Top Model

Tonight’s episode of America’s Next Top Model (s13e05) was hilarious.  During the first challenge, the girls had to race thru a Wal-Mart, get dressed and put on makeup, all while the first 3 girls to arrive are judge on the makeup application prowess.

The challenge was funny but the best line of the night came when Erin explained (the pale blonde without eyebrows) in an interview that “Obviously a lot of the girls don’t know how racists works, racists don’t have manners.”  Now you’re probably thinking WTF?  Well after watching it again I realized that what she said “Obviously a lot of the girls don’t know how races works, races don’t have manners.”  I feel so silly, but incredibly relieved.

Back for good

It’s been 7 months since my las blog post for the clothing store.  The old blog had me posting about my favourite reality/fashion shows, my experiences as a fashion buyer and the trials and tribulations of running my fashion business.  So I’m back! I don’t know if it’s the passage of time, the season premier episode of The Hills, or just the joy of blogging but I’m back!
